Hello, and welcome to the brand new Retro Chic Secondhand website! We'll be posting regular updates about new stock, our Facebook auctions, and any updates you might need to know.
Since our business is family owned and operated, we aim to make you feel like a part of the family too. So, let's get to know each other!
Mrs Retro Chic is our powerhouse and runs the day-to-day operations of Retro Chic. She does all the admin and paperwork that the others just can't do, and can't be thanked enough for it! She is also in charge of purchasing and replenishing stock. She has a registry of items in her head and can tell you the price of any item without having to check! Pretty impressive.
Mr Retro Chic is the muscle of the business, often being sent to pick up some ridiculously heavy (but ridiculously cute!) items that Mrs Retro Chic has fallen in love with. He is also our resident appraiser and auctioneer, and loves finding some of the more unique and quirky items to stock in the store. Did you know he makes our funky record clocks? They make a great gift for the retro lover in your life!
Miss Retro Chic is their daughter, and is in training to take over the family business one day! She comes in when Mr and Mrs Retro Chic need a break, or both need to head out to find you more amazing items! She is also our resident millennial, and tries to tell us what is 'cool' and what is 'lame'! Cheeky.
We started this business in August of 2015 because we love these items, the funky vibes and the memories they inspire. We enjoy sharing these pieces with the people that love them like we do. Fun fact: the business started because Mrs Retro Chic was collecting too many vintage and retro items! Mr Retro Chic gave an ultimatum: Start selling it all, or I will! Fast forward a couple of years, and we have a family business we love and our amazing Chicers who keep us going.
